Alec Doherty - Lonely Punks
We recently had a visiting professional that came into college to give a talk and presentation of his work. The professional was Alec Doherty from Lonely Punks, illustrator and graphic designer. I found myself really relating to his style of illustration and finding it really made me tick. It is the style and boldness that I am looking for within my work. It almost comforted me in a sense to see illustration out there being used and contextualised for various jobs and not just thought of being aesthetically pleasing and almost pointless. This is another style of work that I would like to try and see where it takes me...
