I have been looking into smoke patters as part of my inspiration for layout on my O2 brief. I love the way that the smoke entwines and flows so fluidly. I would love to see if I could place my illustrations in a format such as this or create illustrations from it.
The poster below and various images of detailed areas was produced by a collaboration between New Creative and illustrator Robert Hanson. I found the beaut on Creative Review :D
These are some existing posters that I have found on the Don't panic website uploaded by entrants. I have selected them because they are the style that I am most drawn to. I like the use of colour and style of illustration in them. They're really bold and eye catching and I feel work well. They are taken from a mixture of themes but I also feel they represent their categories well. I am particularly interested in hand drawn type at the moment and the relation ship between that and illustration. I feel these are good examples of illustrating type appropriately.
